Connected math is a series of books that sixth graders use in math. The books are: Prime time Bits and pieces I Shapes and pieces Bits and Pieces II Covering and Surrounding Bits and Pieces III How likely is it Data about us We do different investigations in each book. The teacher looks in the book and chooses an investigation then we put our answers in our note book and we use the notes for tests on that topic. For homework we don’t take it from the connected math book. We just do our math packets which is really good practice. My favorite unit was “how likely is it” because we got to learn a lot of about probability. The definition of probability is, how likely it is. I liked it also because we got to flip coins, flip cups, and then record it, it is like a contest. First heads then tails then three more heads. It was so much fun.
